Breaking the plastic prison stick habit day one

Seven hours in I’ve stolen my child’s abandoned fidget toy in desperation for something to replace the vape that had been attached to my hand- it’s useful.

The 21mg nicotine patches definitely are a much better option than cold turkey. I do have a slight headache (that may be from not drinking enough water, oops) but outside of that it’s mainly just breaking the habit that’s been a problem.

I have had access to vapes for 7 hours now though and haven’t caved! I did start coughing up stuff though which is normal but never a pleasant experience.

The sugar cravings lucky aren’t hitting me yet- my teeth are so jacked I can’t handle much more than my fancy gluten free gummy bears I got to suck on in emergencies😂

One thing in the past I did with quitting smoking was justifying poor eating choices. With my dietary issues and GI problems I decided to go wild and test out this cauliflower pizza for lunch- it was actually not bad at all!

Certified gluten free, they do have this at market basket in Massachusetts, I can’t speak for availability in other locations (please comment and share where you have seen this product though as many GF individuals get screwed on pizza options!)

Of course my children were insulted by the tomatoes and wanted nothing to do with it- more leftovers for me! And yes, that is a life size cut out of Christopher Meloni behind the pizza box- he’s my second husband and just isn’t aware of it yet. The first husband was nice enough to humor me dropping $80 on this ridiculous cut out for my birthday though (it gives me a jump scare coming home to him in my living room looking like a mobster in the corner💀)

I’m working tonight and praying a busy restaurant shift is a distraction and not a trigger, may the odds be in my favor- I’ll be sure to keep updating with the progress!
