I’m grateful that my work was closed last night for the bad storm we got- there was NO WAY I was risking my car I’m still upside down on loan wise driving to an empty restaurant. Our customers are all 60-80+ years old and don’t drive in those conditions at all (they know better). It’s nice that my work can close for a day and I don’t need to panic about my paycheck being smaller, years ago that would have been a disaster to lose a shift.

I’m grateful that my husband had the night off from work last night and was able to take care of shoveling while the rest of us were sleeping- it’s much appreciated.

I’m grateful for the sound of my kids eating. Sounds totally weird but it means the world when they actually eat what’s made for them the first go around!
