I’m grateful that my kids schools are finally open again. We were getting a bit stir crazy after 3 days of being trapped in our apartment. Loading up on chocolate and sweets the day before a bad storm was a dumbass move though, I take full responsibility for that one.

I’m grateful for my job opening up last night, if I’m being frank they really shouldn’t have but I needed the hourly pay so I sat around and took it. The heat situation is absolutely beyond ridiculous- it’s not even attempting to work anymore and when I got there last night the dining room was clocking in at a whooping 57°. Tons of customers complained about it and half of them refused to sit (I can’t blame them there at all). An hour before close last night one of the owners showed up with these ridiculous horizontal long skinny space heaters that literally look like they are meant to kill fucking bugs outdoors…. It’s embarrassing and ghetto as fuck to have this kind of a set up while charging customers $60-80+ for some of these meals.

I’m grateful that I managed to weasel my way out of a $250 bill for that colonoscopy I had back in November. I had the procedure 10 days before losing my state health insurance and I caught a billing error on their end that had resulted in me being stuck with a bill I had zero intention of paying. Making that call was awkward but it saved me paying a bill I shouldn’t have had in the first place.
